Capturing surfers while they ride waves has been a challenging path to improving as a photographer. This body of work focuses on professional surfer Zoe Benedetto, whom I was commissioned to photograph at the Super Girl Surf Pro 2024 in Oceanside, California. I captured her before, during, and after she plunged into the cold Pacific waters, along with some portraits for one of her sponsors. There's always room to learn, but I'm confident I'll get it someday.
